“The Longshots,” starring Ice Cube, Tasha Smith and Keke Palmer, will be screened Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. in the Family Fellowship International Christian Church in Lithonia.

The free screening, sponsored by the Friends of the Lithonia Parks and a number of Lithonia businesses, was rescheduled from Sept. 19 because of last month’s flooding. Cooler weather has moved the screening indoors from the Lithonia Stewart Amphitheater.

The 94-minute family comedy, which is rated PG, tells the heartwarming true story of a poor Illinois town that came together behind the local football team and their unlikely quarterback, played by Palmer, who made a name for herself in “Akeelah and the Bee.”

The church is at 2524 Hollingsworth St., next to the Lithonia Police Department. For more information, call Councilwoman Deborah Jackson at 404-534-6545.
