House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams will talk about the political climate in the community on March 30 at Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church in Atlanta.

Abrams represents House District 89, which includes the communities of Candler Park, Columbia, Druid Hills, East Lake, Highland Park, Kelley Lake, Kirkwood, Lake Claire, Oakhurst, South DeKalb, Toney Valley, Tilson and East Atlanta in DeKalb.

Abrams, who received a JFK public service award in 2012, is the first woman to lead either party in the Georgia General Assembly.

The 10 a.m.-to-noon town hall meeting is co-hosted by the Grove’s CDC and the Social Action Commission. It takes place in the Montez Jones Dining Hall.
