The good times will roll on Feb. 9 at “Mardi Gras Auction Magic” at the Lou Walker Senior Center in Lithonia.

The inaugural fundraiser, hosted by the DeKalb Elementary School of the Arts, kicks off with cocktails and a silent auction at 5:30 p.m.

Heavy hors d’oeuvres are on the menu, followed by a live auction and dancing.

Greta Prince, winner of the 2011 Essence Music Festival Pebbles R&B Star competition, will perform.

Proceeds will support student achievement at DESA, which provides creative arts education and training as part of a K-7 Choice Arts Magnet program of the DeKalb County School District.

Dress code is masks and festive Mardi Gras wear.

The Lou Walker Center is at 2538 Panola Road. For tickets, e-mail dekalbesapta@gmail.com.
