Panola Way Elementary third-grader Moses Moore was hit by an SUV on his way to school on Jan. 29.

Moses, 10, is listed in critical condition at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

A DeKalb Schools spokeswoman said he was struck in the crosswalk at Panola Road at Panola Way Lane around 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.

DeKalb police say witnesses told them the boy darted into the path of the SUV.

The driver of the black Mercedes-Benz SUV that hit Moses remained at the scene.

Police said they are still investigating and have not decided whether charges will be filed in the incident.
