Group bringing blessings to homeless

Blessings on Wheels will be delivering hot meals and kind words to the homeless in downtown Atlanta on Oct. 31.

To help with the effort, organizers are seeking donations of food, money and time by Oct. 29.

Volunteers will prepare spaghetti, corn on the cob, rolls, desserts, soft drinks and water, and other food items for distribution.

Participants will meet at the QuikTrip on Wesley Chapel Road in Decatur at 7:30 p.m., then head downtown on Oct. 31.

Blessings on Wheels founder and CEO Stephanie Rockmore founded the group in December 2009.
