Hundreds of adults and children will be engaging in fun and healthy activities at Commissioner Lee May’s fifth annual Health and Family Fun Day on July 22 at the Bransby Outdoor YMCA Center in Lithonia.

The 2-to-7 p.m. event includes free food, live entertainment, health and wellness screenings, horseback riding, swimming, face painting, fitness games, moonwalks, and vendors.

May, who represents District 5, also is collecting school supplies to benefit economically disadvantaged families, and guests are asked to donate book bags, pens, pencils and paper.

Families attending the event are encouraged to bring chairs and coolers. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
