Career Expo to feature employers, resource providers

Veterans and other job seekers can attend a Sept. 14 career expo sponsored by the Georgia Department of Labor’s North Metro Career Center.

The 10 a.m.-1 p.m. expo will be at Clairmont Presbyterian Church in Decatur. It will feature more than 30 employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers.

Some employers will be hiring while others will be discussing possible future employment opportunities. Several organizations will provide educational and other resources.

Applicants should bring multiple copies of their resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available jobs.

Participants will include AAA Auto Club South, Allied Barton Security Service, Aloricares, Apex Veteran Staffing, AT&T, Chattahoochee Recreation Area, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 91, Department of Veteran Affairs, Disability Link, Employment Seeker Publications, Executive Marketing Team, Futurecom, Georgia Department of Corrections, Goodwill of North Georgia, Gwinnett County Police Department, Home for Heroes, Lowe’s, Marten Transport, Perimeter Staffing Placement, Primerica Financial Services, Randstad Staffing, Rollins, Service Management Systems, Staffing Advantage, Tender Loving Care Healthcare Services, United Education Institute, UPS Supply Chain Solutions, USA Parking Systems, U.S. Department of Labor, Verizon Wireless, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4706, and Walton Community Services.
