AARP Tax-Aide needs adult volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to help low-income older workers prepare their taxes. A program of the nonprofit AARP Foundation, Tax-Aide is the nation's largest free volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service. Volunteers do not need to be an AARP member or retiree to volunteer.

The program is offered in conjunction with the IRS. Volunteers get free tax training and are reimbursed on a limited basis for qualified program-related expenses. They help customers one-on-one at tax sites.
