Farmer's Market to host compost demonstration

Environmentally conscious DeKab County residents can see a free compost demonstration on May 10 at the DeKalb Farmers Market in Decatur.

The demonstration, sponsored by Keep DeKalb Beautiful, is part of Compost Awareness Week, being observed May 4-10.

The 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. event will include compost bin and vegetable plant giveaways while supplies last. Keep DeKalb Beautiful will also raffle off a rain barrel. Admission is free.
