Churches hold joint services

Six congregations in Lithonia and Stone Mountain will be worshipping together again in their annual joint Thanksgiving Services.

St. Timothy United Methodist Church, Memorial Drive Presbyterian and Rock of Ages Lutheran will hold their joint community Thanksgiving Service on Nov. 18 at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church, 5135 Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain.

The three churches have held the service for more than 20 years. For more information, call 404-292-5969.

In Lithonia, First Afrikan Presbyterian, Big Miller Missionary Baptist and Ousley United Methodist churches will worship together on Nov. 20 at First Afrikan, 5197 Salem Road.

Ousley pastor, McCallister Hollins, will deliver the sermon and Big Miller Grove's Choir will sing at the 7 p.m. service.

The three churches have worshipped together for years on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
