Golden Glide Skating Rink will host its fifth annual Community Appreciation Day on Aug. 4, but participating businesses and sponsors must register by July 23.

The free exhibitor spaces are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Vendors cannot sell from the spaces but can showcase their businesses and services and give away products.

Greg Alexander, the rink's managing partner, said he is inviting the businesses because they serve the community in different capacities.

"We are all part of the same community and we all have to work together to make our community strong," he said.

The noon to 5 p.m. Community Appreciation Day will offer free skating, roller-skating performances, music, rock climbing, moon walks, face painting and health education awareness.

Golden Glide is at 2750 Wesley Chapel Road, Decatur. To reserve a space or become a sponsor, call 404-288-7773.
