Play delves into friends

An original play about four friends reminiscing about their lives while preparing for their 25th high school class reunion will be staged at Antioch AME Church.

The free performance of "Class Reunion" will be at 5 p.m. on Oct. 15. The play is presented by the church's Performing Arts Ministry, and written by ministry director Phyllis Banks.

Golfing for Ousley

Golfers will be teeing off at Browns Mill Golf Course for Ousley United Methodist Church's fifth annual golf tournament on Oct. 14.

The event, which raises funds for the church's ministries, will feature a putting contest beginning at 11 a.m., and the 18-hole tournament starts at noon. Prizes will also be available.

The entry fee is $80.

Friends and Family Day

Friends and family will be the honored guests when First Afrikan Church hosts Friends and Family Day at the 8 a.m. and 11 a.m services on Oct. 22. Fellowship will immediately follow each service.
