Women and men who want to brush up on their leadership skills can participate in the May 10-11 Women of Color Conference in Atlanta.

The conference — "Building Bridges Among Us and With Others" — is in its third year. It focuses on leadership development and diversity, and will highlight the special leadership qualities that women of color bring to businesses, communities and governments.

Conference speakers include former Ambassador Andrew Young, City of Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin and Spelman College President Beverly Daniel Tatum.

The conference's forums and interactive workshops are designed to foster frank and engaging dialogue between women and men of diverse backgrounds and to bring forward innovative methods to shape their environments.

Events will be at Spelman College and the Georgia World Congress Center.

Participants can register online at www.spelmanwomenofcolorconf.com until May 3 and on site on May 10.

For cost and other information, call 404-760-8190.
