The prison ministry of the Abundant Life Church is seeking donations of personal hygiene and other items for distribution to inmates in Georgia and other Southern prisons.

Ruby Pugh, a minister who coordinates the prison ministry, said the needs range from bath size bar soap, to individually wrapped toothbrushes, 8-ounce body lotion, 6.4 oz toothpaste, 15 oz suave shampoo, complete paperback Bibles, white tube socks and postage stamps. Glass, metal and aerosol containers are prohibited.

Pugh said donations will help the Lithonia-based church provide gift packages to indigent inmates over the holiday season and bring some cheer into their lives.
