The workshop, which begins at 11 a.m., is presented by Georgia State University nutrition students and the Fulton County Housing and Human Services Office of Aging’s East Point NORC – Naturally Occurring Retirement Community.
Topics include healthy eating, food budgets for singles and couples, maximizing leftovers, reducing food waste, and strategies for stretching your food dollar.
A healthy snack will be provided. The deadline to R.S.V.P. is Sept. 10.
East Point NORC is a collaboration of service agencies and organizations designed to reduce service fragmentation and create healthy, integrated communities where seniors living in Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities are able to age-in-place with greater comfort and security in their own homes.
Peachtree Christian Church is at 1706 Washington Road in East Point.
