The DeKalb School Board is hosting its final hearings at noon and at 5 p.m. in the school district’s Administrative and Instructional Complex, 1701 Mountain Industrial Blvd. in Stone Mountain.
The School Board voted 5-4 on June 21 to raise taxes for the first time in 10 years.
Board members are considering a 1-mill rate increase that will cost the owner of a $100,000 home an extra $27.50 more a year.
The vote will take place at the board meeting that starts at 6 p.m.
If approved, the millage increase would raise $14.8 million in revenues for the school district.
