DeKalb Medical at North Decatur picked up a Presidential level award on the Partnership for Health and Accountability Quality Honor Roll on Sept. 4.
The honor, given by the Georgia Hospital Association, places the hospital among top health systems statewide for providing the most effective methods of treatment for cardiac patients and patients diagnosed with pneumonia.
Eric Norwood, the hospital’s CEO, said DeKalb Medical has emerged at the top level of several regional and national quality rankings.
“We are gratified to receive this kind of recognition for our quality,” he said.
To nab the award, DeKalb Medical maintained a score of at least 93 percent on clinical data collected by the Federal Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services, which administers the country’s Medicare and Medicaid Programs.
