Ciao!
 Today was a crazy day! I had to eat my food fast so I could get to class on time. All I had to eat was pineapple yogurt and drink two glasses of hot tea with lemon. I guess that is what happens when you wake up late. Today in Biology for Medicine we talked about Cholera. We discussed what is it, how it spreads, which countries are most affected by it, and the anatomy of the disease. Eventually in the lecture we discussed which continent has been affected the most by it. A few of my peers were to respond and say Africa because its the poorest continent and the people there live in poverty. To a certain extent I agreed with their answer but it was how they said it made me upset. I raised my hand and responded to my professor and said, "couldn't you also say that education plays an important role as well because they don't have resources to know and better understand how the disease functions." My professor responded and said that's also another factor that makes Africa susceptible to cholera as well. Then my peers were like, "oh yeah". 
From there we did our two minute quickies presentation. Its a two minute presentation on a particular question a person was assigned and had to do research on before presenting. Overall the presentations were okay but you could tell people really winged it. In my mind I really wasn't impressed and felt as though when its my turn, which is on Wednesday, maybe I should wing it. But then I said "no! i refuse to be average. I want to be above the average which will set me apart from everyone else in the class!" So I plan to practice and make sure to do a good job come this Wednesday morning!
When class ended around noon, everyone waited in a long line to talk to the our professor about our their ideas on our research paper, which is how the black Plague lead to the creation of the Renaissance. After about thirty minutes of waiting patiently it was finally my turn. I informed my professor that I want to focus on the socioeconomic effects of the Black Plague but was afraid that I would forget about the Art aspect. He then informed me that I could focus on the church and how they received a number of donations from wealthy individuals before they died. At that moment I said, "oh okay, thank you!" and walked away. However, in my mind I was excited because I finally have a focus of what I'm going to write about in my paper!
From one in the afternoon until about forty-five after six, I accomplished all of my goals. I worked on my research paper, created a one page outline, taught myself Italian, and took a nap. Oh and I also sent thank you notes to everyone who donated on my crowdfunding website. Plus, I wrote on people's Facebook and thanked them as well. Honestly, without my sister's help and people who have donated or will donate later, I wouldn't even be here in Italy right now. I also want to admit that I started working on my art paper but stopped since I want to get my grade back for the previous paper I worked on. I want to asses how and I did and depending on the grade, do the same thing or change the way I write my papers going forward.
Dinner was alright. We had rotinni which was good! I had a total of three servings! After being served pasta, we were then served roast beef and some vegetable dish. I was disappointed. The meat was salty and I didn't even attempt to eat the veggies because it looked like sauerkraut. I got up from the dinner table,walked upstairs, asked for two cokes in Italian (yay for me!), walked back to the dorm, and began studying. As I was studying, I realized that my eyes were beginning to heavy and I looked at a clock in the common room and it said 1am. I said wow, I've  studied for four hours and thirty minutes straight. As I was making my way back to my room to go to sleep, a group girls started screaming. "I'm like what is going on?"  A guy killed a scorpion and was chasing the girls around the dorm. As bad as it sounds, I was laughing though because it was funny.
When I finally reached my room, I immediately collapsed on the bed. As I started to dose off, i was awaken but some of my drunk peers. I don't want to say they were ratchet, because that sounds to slang. What I will say is they were disturbing the peace!
That pretty sums up my day in its entirety. Hopefully tomorrow won't be such a crazy day!
