The 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. "Healthy Eating and Fitness Day" event will offer exercises, healthy snacks and nutrition education.
Adults and children looking to jump-start their fitness routine for the new year can get tips and inspiration at a "Healthy Eating and Fitness Day" on Jan. 31.
The 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. event, sponsored by the Decatur-DeKalb Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, takes place at the Samson Fitness Center in Stonecrest.
There will be exercises, healthy snacks and nutrition education to help to prevent adult and child hood obesity.
The event is free to attend and open to the public.
Participants should wear workout gear or comfortable clothing.
The Samson Fitness Center is at at 6400 Woodrow Road on the campus of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.
