Small business owners can attend QuickBooks: A One-on-One Learning Experience starting Oct. 1 at the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce.
SCORE is offering the class “by appointment only” on 10 days in October – 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and 31.
Participant will learn to customize QuickBooks for their company, link with bank and credit accounts, and create financial statements using their own company data.
Participants must bring a laptop loaded with QuickBooks to the class.
SCORE supports only QuickBooks for Desktop. It does not work with QuickBooks' online version that is leased by the month, and it also does not teach the Mac version of QuickBooks.
Individual sessions are held most Mondays and Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The sessions, which are taught by SCORE volunteer Wendy Lerner, are two hours long.
Lerner, who has a B.S. in accounting from Mississippi State University, has experience working with businesses in various industries and volunteers with AARP Tax Prep.
She is a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor. She passed her CPA exam in 1980 and has taught QuickBooks at Chattahoochee Tech.
After registering, the instructor will contact you to set up your actual appointment time.
The fee is $40.
