Clarkston  Dec. 8 holiday extravaganza features craft & vendor fair and tree lighting

‘Tis the season and Clarkston’s citywide craft holiday extravaganza on Dec. 8 will delight with a daylong Holiday Craft & Vendor Fair and the city’s  annual Tree Lighting in the evening.

The craft and vendor fair, featuring arts, crafts and other gift items from around the world, takes place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clarkston Community Center at 3701 College Ave.   

The Clarkston Annual Tree Lighting Event featuring live performances, food vendors, and coffee & cocoa from the Refuge Coffee Co., takes place 4:40 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Clarkston Woman's Club, a short walk from the Community Center.

There will be photos with Santa, fireworks, and special goodie bags.

The event, hosted by Mayor Ted Terry and the Clarkston City Council, takes place on the back patio of Clarkston Woman's Club at 3913 Church St. Participants are encouraged to dress warmly for the outdoor music and fireworks.

Santa will meet the children inside for photos, gift bags, and refreshments.
